On Valentine’s Day 1995, Arantha‘s father had just married Arantha’s mother, and was in St. Albans, VT applying for his green card when he was unexpectedly arrested and deported for a minor out-of-state cannabis possession charge. This level of cannabis possession is now legal.
At the time, Arantha was 4 years old, and her brother was a baby. This tragedy left her mother alone to care for two children, and since then, Arantha's father hasn’t been able to return to the States.
2022 was a particularly tragic and difficult year of losses for Arantha, as it included the murder of her best friend, Fern Feather, and the passing of her Grandma and favorite elder ancestor, Suzy.
As Arantha plans out her next steps in her career and livelihood she is co-creating connections with Zimbabwe artisans, musical instrument makers and her family members. We wish to attract an abundance of emotional, spiritual, and material blessings, and we eventually seek to raise an additional 48k to further whats possible.
Arantha Farrow returned from visiting her father in Zimbabwe in March and April of 2023. We now plan to raise 15k to renovate her family’s homestead which will make it livable for her father and his family as well as other community members and visitors. The homestead can serve as a place that Vermonters and other involved supporters can visit. The land of Zimbabwe and Vermont, both homes to Arantha, were once connected. This profound discovery that was made at an earlier point in Arantha's life is something that she carries with her and embodies to this day. Shining a light on this truth and doing intentional work through this connection is an important thing to cultivate in healing and bringing family together.
Arantha is a leader in Vermont’s, herbal healing, music, arts, rocks, minerals and crystals industries. She owns a "San Francisco" style trolley where she hosts concerts, houses a retail store that sells jewelry and instruments from Zimbabwe and holds special events. She’s always held the dream of connecting her life in Vermont with her father's life, and to help improve the livelihoods of the people, land, and culture of Zimbabwe. The hope is that this cross pollination and collaboration between Vermont and Zimbabwe specifically, would in time, enrich and improve upon the quality of life in both places. Zimbabwe has been starving and struggling for some time now and this imbalance is exacerbated by the pandemic. This fundraising is something positive and hopeful that we can do in response.

Through our friends at Heart Song Aerial Healing Arts we can offer 501c3 tax deductible receipts, marketing and social media shout outs. The trolley also serves as a visible and exciting space for healing and transformation for the public. Let’s be in contact to see how we can work together.
